Drupal is a great platform to work on, as I have used it many times.

I am a huge fan of Drupal as an old skool community geek who has built and managed major international communities on various platforms over the years.
At last we have a free open source tool that has been built for grassroots flexibility, not corporate needs. Even IBM recommends it as the best of breed for building collaborative websites:

Well done for getting this group going.
Best wishes,

This is a great concept of a site, but you really need to take the nodeprofile content types (or whatever they are) and only have the company content types displaying in the pages.

I found this site by google just randomly. Am an ex-pat Kiwi (only left in Sept 2007) anyways sure there is a large ex-pat drupal community just waiting to help out, get some feeds from drupal.org on this site and this sites posts rss on the drupal.org aggregator.
Let me know if these are new to you and I can help, just assuming I know less than you guys though as I started drupaling only a couple months back.

How about a quick breakdown of how this site is put together, and a checklist of what's on the wishlist?
Like the theme btw!

Hi Shiny and Mohawkmedia (Chelfyn? Helen?),
We're keen to improve the site, and are pretty happy to let it be a group effort - i.e. if you know what you're doing, we'll give you the ability to do it.
We use aggregator and tagadelic on various other Drupal sites we build and would be happy to use it here, too. Given our use of Subversion to manage modules in the Egressive hosting environment, it might be easiest for us to install new modules people want, but you could then do all the config related to them.
Actually, we have to upgrade this to the latest 5.x site (I'll do that as soon as I have a chance - again, it's as simple as doing an svn update and making sure nothing's broken) and ultimately, it would probably be good if, as soon as the various modules we're using are up to speed, we upgrade the site to 6.x...
Another plan I have is to define a standard "Case Study" or "Drupal Site" CCK node type (format available for easy import) which would allow all of us who build Drupal sites commercially to publish feeds of our portfolios, and this site would act as an aggregated portfolio of kiwi-made sites...
Cheers,
Dave

How's that website snapshot tool coming along? Could it be put to use here?

Tagadelic is the module we use for this.
